Product details
This is commercial grade liquid chlorine pool shock, sold as a case of four gallons at 12.5% sodium hypochlorite. It is NSF 50/60 certified, made in the USA, EPA Reg. No. 55852-3.
Why liquid
At 12.5%, this is roughly twice the strength of household bleach and it goes into the water as a liquid, so there is no dissolving, no pre-mixing and nothing left sitting on the floor of the pool. It also adds no calcium and no stabilizer, which is the reason it does not cloud the water and does not push your hardness or cyanuric acid up every time you shock.
How it is sold
A case of four gallons, which is how service companies buy it. Liquid chlorine loses strength over time, faster in heat and sunlight, so store the case cool, dark and closed, and buy what you will use rather than stockpiling it.
