Product details

The Koolgrips KGS801RB is an 8 ft. comfort cover for pool rails and ladders of 1.9 in. diameter, in royal blue. It slips over the rail and gives swimmers something softer to grab than bare metal.

Why cover a rail

Stainless rails sit in direct sun all day and get hot enough to be unpleasant, sometimes genuinely painful, for anyone getting in or out of the pool. The fabric cover takes that heat off the surface and gives a better grip on a wet hand at the same time. It is a common fix on commercial and community pools, where the rails see constant traffic.

The fabric

Heavy duty polyester and spandex based woven fabric, blended with UPF and UV inhibitors so it holds its color outdoors, and treated with an anti-microbial finish. The stretch in the weave is what lets it pull down over the length of the rail and stay in place.

Sizing

This is the standard 8 ft. length for 1.9 in. diameter tubing. Measure your rail before ordering. Koolgrips makes the same cover in other lengths and colors, so a mixed set of rails and ladders can be matched.
