The Horizon HVWCS-12 winter cover seal is an 80 gauge film supplied on a 500 foot roll. It wraps around the pool over the winter cover and seals it down, so wind cannot get underneath and lift it.
Why a film instead of hardware
The traditional way to hold a winter cover is a perimeter of water bags, clips, cables and winches, all of which have to be placed, checked and stored again in spring. The seal replaces that with a continuous wrap. It sticks only to itself where the layers overlap, so it comes off the pool and the cover cleanly.
Built for the season
The film is fortified with UV inhibitors, and the resin blend is chosen so it stretches on and then keeps holding tight over a long stretch of time, including through hard cold. The 500 foot length gives enough material for multiple wraps around the pool circumference.
