The NPT BX250 is a cobalt mosaic from the Glazed Series, made up of 2 in. by 2 in. high fired porcelain tiles on 1.07 sq ft sheets. It is sold by the square foot.
Why porcelain
Porcelain is the only tile type recommended for pools, spas and water features, and the difference from other tile is quality rather than category. The clay is purer and more refined, which makes the finished tile tougher, denser and far less permeable. With a water absorption rate under 0.5 percent it resists staining and holds up through frost.
Ordering and shade
Each sheet covers 1.07 sq ft, and a case holds 20 sheets for 21.4 sq ft. The case figure is a reference only, since the tile is sold by the square foot.
