The Inlays CPC00021 is a blue non-skid safety edge tile, set at the edge of a pool step so the drop is visible and the footing is secure.
What it is for
Wet step edges disappear underwater, and a swimmer stepping onto one they did not see is how most step falls happen. A contrasting tile along the nose of the step draws the eye to it from above and gives the foot a surface with grip.
The surface
The skid resistance is made into the tile at the factory rather than sanded or coated on afterwards, so there is no finish to wear off. The tile is also frost resistant and is installed as a permanent part of the step.
