Product details

The Coverstar A1678 is the genuine OEM leading edge insert with caps for a 2-1/2 inch aluminum leading edge, supplied as a set of 2. It is for Coverstar automatic pool covers.

What the leading edge does

The leading edge is the aluminum bar at the front of the cover, the piece that travels the length of the pool and carries the fabric with it. The insert and its caps are what let that bar hold together and take the load every time the cover runs.

Check the size first

Coverstar builds leading edges in more than one size. This set is for the 2-1/2 inch bar, and the 3 inch bar takes a different insert assembly, so measure the existing edge before ordering. Fitting the wrong insert wastes a trip and leaves the cover down.
