Product details

Maytronics 6101604 is the magenta PVC brush fitted to Dolphin robotic cleaners, sold one at a time. It is a flat rectangular strip in the box and becomes a ring once it is wrapped around the wheel tube on the machine.

How it goes on

One long edge of the brush has 13 square tabs, each with a small hole. The opposite edge has 13 male extensions that line up with those holes. Wrap the brush around the tube, push the extensions through the matching holes and the brush locks to itself, so no clips or tools are needed to hold it in place.

Material and size

The brush is a very flexible rubber-like PVC, soft enough to wrap tight to the tube and stay there. Flat length is 12-5/16 inches. Our record describes it as the brush used on some Dolphin cleaners without listing every model, so measure the brush you are replacing and check the 13 tab pattern before you order.

When to replace it

Brushes wear from the outside in. When the machine starts slipping on wet walls, stalls part way up, or leaves a film that the filter clearly is not picking up, the brush has usually gone flat or torn and needs changing.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

How does the brush attach?
It wraps around the wheel tube. One long edge carries 13 square tabs with small holes, the other carries 13 matching male extensions, and pushing the extensions through the holes closes the brush into a ring that holds itself on the tube.
Is this sold as a pair?
No. It is sold each, so order the number your cleaner takes.
How long is it?
12-5/16 inches, measured flat before it is wrapped around the tube.
Which cleaner is it for?
Our record says it is the PVC brush used on some Dolphin cleaners and does not list a full model range. Compare the 12-5/16 inch length and the 13 tab pattern against the brush on your machine before ordering.
