The SmartPool NC51 Wall Climber is a plug in robotic cleaner for inground pools, supplied complete with a 60 ft cord and a caddy. It brushes the floor and climbs the walls up to the waterline, and it filters the water it picks up rather than sending debris back through the pool filter.
How it cleans
Intelligent navigation sends the cleaner where the dirt is, splitting a run roughly 75 percent floor and 25 percent walls, and obstacle avoidance keeps it from wedging itself into corners and steps. The wide robotic body covers more of the pool on each pass, which is where the 50 percent faster coverage comes from, and quad port brush to port suction picks up acorns, leaves and fine debris in the same pass that the brushes loosen it.
Running it
A toggle switch chooses a 1 hour rapid clean or a 3 hour systematic clean, so a quick tidy before guests and a full weekly clean are the same machine. The quick drain system empties the cleaner as you lift it, and the unit weighs only 8.5 lbs out of the water. Debris collects in a large capacity filter bag that rinses out at the hose.
