The S.R. Smith 1001530-BC is the LiftOperator battery charger in the CEC compliant BC version. The parts lists for the CEC compliant PAL and PAL Hi/Lo and Spa name it, along with the matching BC battery 1001495-BC. It is also listed as 1001530-BC-R.

Why the BC version

Since January 2, 2018, S.R. Smith lifts bound for California use the CEC compliant BC versions of the LiftOperator battery, charger and control box, and those BC parts do not interchange with the standard LiftOperator parts. The standard charger, 1001530, is the one in the PAL2, Splash! and aXs2 parts lists. Check the lift serial number before you order a battery, charger or control box.

Using the charger

Before you connect it, make sure the lead acid battery type and 24 V are selected. A steady amber light means the battery is charging, a flashing green light means it is 80 percent charged, and a steady green light means it is full and ready. A full charge takes up to twelve hours. If the amber light keeps flashing, the battery voltage is too low or the charger is not connected properly; alternating green and amber means reversed polarity or a battery that may be defective.

Battery care

Charge daily, and do not let the battery run flat. Whenever the battery is off the lift or the lift is idle, keep it on this charger. The battery cannot be overcharged. Keep it within 41 to 104 F.

What is the difference between the 1001530-BC and the 1001530 charger?
Since January 2, 2018, S.R.
