Why fresh reagent matters

A test kit is a set of chemical reactions, and the accuracy of the whole thing rests on solutions that have not aged out. A bottle that has spent two summers in a hot pump shed will still produce a color, just not the right one, and every dosing decision after that is built on a bad number. Taylor recommends replacing reagents every year for exactly this reason.

Storage
