Product details
This is the Taylor thiosulfate N/10 reagent in a 2 ounce dropper bottle, part number R-0007-C.
Why fresh reagent matters
A test kit is a set of chemical reactions, and the accuracy of the whole thing rests on solutions that have not aged out. A bottle that has spent two summers in a hot pump shed will still produce a color, just not the right one, and every dosing decision after that is built on a bad number. Taylor recommends replacing reagents every year for exactly this reason.
Storage
Keep reagents capped, cool and out of direct sunlight. Heat and light do more to shorten reagent life than the calendar does.
