30 x 60 ft Inground Pool Winter Covers

A 30 x 60 ft inground pool takes a 35 x 65 ft or 36 x 66 ft cover. The extra is the overlap, 2.5 or 3 ft on every side, and it laps onto the deck where the water tubes hold it down. Every cover on this page is listed by the pool it fits, and the covers cut for a larger pool that still work here are under Also fits.

Inground winter cover questions

What size winter cover fits a 30 x 60 ft inground pool?

A 35 x 65 ft cover, or a 36 x 66 ft on the plus 6 ft cut. The first leaves 2.5 ft of overlap on every side, the second 3 ft.

How many water tubes does a 30 x 60 ft pool need?

25 tubes of 8 ft, or 20 of 10 ft. The 35 x 65 ft cover is 200 ft around its edge, and the tubes lie end to end along it. The 10 ft tubes are worth it at this size.

Is there a mesh cover for a 30 x 60 ft pool?

Yes. Mesh drains rain and snowmelt straight into the pool, so nothing collects on a cover this large, and it leaves more cleanup in spring. A solid cover blocks the light instead and needs a cover pump.

What are these covers made of, and how long are they warranted?

Triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams. Stated warranties at this size are 12 and 15 years, and each card lists its own.

Do I drain a pool this size for the winter?

No. Never drain an inground pool, whatever its size. The water holds the shell down against the groundwater around it. The level drops a little for winter, which the cover's overlap is cut to reach.
