Product details

AquaChek Blue is the test strip for pools and spas run on biguanide, the chlorine free sanitizer family that includes products such as Baquacil, BaquaSpa, SoftSwim, PolyClear and Revacil. Each strip reads biguanide level, pH and total alkalinity.

How the test works

Unlike a single dip strip, this one is a two part test. Dip the strip and read the total alkalinity and pH pads first. Then re dip the same strip, moving it back and forth underwater for a full 30 seconds, and read the biguanide pad. The longer second immersion is what develops the biguanide color, so cutting it short gives a low reading.

Keeping records

AquaChek advises testing at least weekly and writing down the results. Biguanide water tends to drift rather than crash, and a column of numbers makes a slow slide obvious weeks before the water tells you. Complete instructions are included in 15 languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish and Turkish.
