Product details

The SuperPro FC-0780 is a 100 square foot replacement pool filter cartridge, listed with the Baker Hydro UltraMite and HydroMite cartridge filter parts. It is built in white plastic and goes straight into the tank in place of the cartridge you take out.

What the square footage means

Filter area is the number that decides how much dirt the cartridge holds before pressure climbs and flow drops. A hundred square feet is a full sized element, and running the correct area for the tank is what keeps the cleaning interval sensible and the pump working against reasonable pressure.

Cleaning versus replacing

Cartridges are washable and should be cleaned whenever pressure rises above the clean reading. They do not last forever. Once a proper wash no longer brings pressure back down, or the pleats are torn, permanently matted or leaning over, the element has stopped filtering and wants replacing. Check the size stamped on the old cartridge against this one before ordering.
