Product details

The Jandy R0462200 is the replacement cartridge element for the CS100 filter, with 100 square feet of media. It is the genuine Jandy part, the same element the filter was built around.

What a new element gets you back

A cartridge does not fail all at once. The media loads with oil and fine debris that will not rinse out, the starting pressure creeps upward, and the filter needs cleaning more often for less clean water. When a washed element no longer returns to a low clean pressure, the media is spent and a new one restores both the flow and the interval between cleanings.

Fitting it

The element goes into the existing CS Series tank with no other changes. The tank o-ring is a separate part number, and since opening the filter is most of the work, changing it at the same time is worth doing.

The Jandy CS100 cartridge filter, in the CS Series line.
How much media is on the element?
100 square feet.
Is this the genuine element?

Should I replace anything else at the same time?
The CS Series tank o-ring is a separate part and the lid is already off, so it is the sensible thing to change alongside the element.
