The Hayward CX100XRE is the original filter cartridge element for the SwimClear C100S, carrying the full 100 square feet of media the filter is rated for. Hayward also lists it as CX100-RE.

The element measures 10-5/16 in. in diameter and 19-5/8 in. long, with a 4 in. open hole at the top and a 4 in. open hole at the bottom. Measure the cartridge you are pulling out against those numbers if you are unsure which SwimClear you have.
When a cartridge is done
Cartridge media does not last forever. Once the pleats will not come clean, the filter runs at a higher pressure and shorter cycles no matter how often it is washed, and oils and fine debris have worked into the fabric for good. A new element puts the flow and the filtration back where the C100S was designed to sit.
