Product details

The Clear Blue Mineral Lion is a copper and zinc ionizer sized for pools up to 25,000 gallons. The cell releases microscopic mineral ions into the water as it passes, and those ions hold down algae and bacteria on their own. That lets a pool run on far less chlorine and algaecide than it otherwise would, as much as 90 percent less by Clear Blue's figures.

What is in the kit

Part number CBI-350B-25-KIT is the complete setup: the 350B digital controller and the mineral cell. The controller sets and displays the ion output, so the system is dialed in once and then left to run rather than adjusted by feel.

The cell

Clear Blue builds the cell from high purity copper and zinc. That purity is what keeps the water clear at the lowest workable chlorine level and keeps the cell releasing ions evenly over its life.

Choose this kit for pools up to 25,000 gallons. Clear Blue also makes a 40,000 gallon Mineral Lion kit for larger pools.

Does an ionizer replace chlorine entirely?
No. The Mineral Lion controls algae and bacteria with copper and zinc ions so you can run far less chlorine, up to 90 percent less in Clear Blue's figures, but a residual sanitizer is still needed.
What pool size is this kit for?
This kit is rated for pools up to 25,000 gallons. For larger pools Clear Blue offers a 40,000 gallon Mineral Lion kit.
What comes in the box?
The kit is the Mineral Lion 350B digital controller together with the copper and zinc mineral cell that mounts in the return plumbing.
Is it hard to run day to day?
The digital controller manages ion output. Once it is set for your pool, the routine is checking water balance and the occasional look at the cell.
