The ClearBlue Mineral Lion, part CBI-350B-25-AGKIT, is an ionizer kit for above ground pools and spas holding up to 25,000 gallons. It runs on 120 or 240 volt service and comes with threaded parts.

Why the AG kit

Above ground equipment is plumbed with threaded fittings and flexible hose rather than solvent welded rigid pipe. This kit is supplied to suit that, so the install does not mean cutting and gluing into a return line that was never built for it.

How an ionizer fits into your routine

An ionizer releases minerals into the circulating water to work on the things that grow in a pool. It is normally run alongside a reduced level of sanitizer rather than in place of all chemistry, and the water still needs testing on the same schedule. Set expectations that way and it does its job well.

Sizing and power

Match the unit to the water volume. This one is rated to 25,000 gallons. The power supply accepts either 120 or 240 volts, so it will normally work with the supply already at the pad.
