Product details

The Maytronics 9980627 is the motor filter screen used across a wide run of Dolphin robotic pool cleaners. It is the genuine Maytronics part, not a generic mesh cut to fit.

What it does

A Dolphin pulls water through its filter media and out through the motor unit. The screen is the last barrier before that motor side, so it catches the fine grit and hair that works past the cartridges or basket. Left in place too long it loads up, and the cleaner loses suction and climb long before anyone thinks to look at a part this small.

Is this the same as the filter cartridge or basket?
No. The filter media catches the dirt from the pool. This screen sits further in, on the motor side, and is a separate part.
