The J&J Electronics 21091 is the PureWhite LED spa light in the S1W size, wired for 120V and supplied with a 50 foot cord. Its model code is LPL-S1W-120-50-P. It draws 13 watts and puts out 700 lumens, which J&J rates against a 100 watt incandescent spa lamp.

What the LED buys you

The trade against incandescent lighting is stark: J&J rates the PureWhite line at up to a 90 percent reduction in energy cost and as much as twenty times the lamp life, with the LED engine rated to 50,000 hours. For a spa light that runs most evenings, that is the difference between an annual lamp change and largely forgetting about it.

Build and light quality

The fixture is heavy gauge 316L stainless steel, the grade used where hardware stays wet. Inside, J&J's Zero-Pixilation lens system spreads the output so the water reads as one even field of light rather than a row of bright points. This unit is cool white at 6500K, the daylight tone. Measure from the niche to the box and allow slack for the required loop. The cord on this unit is 50 feet, and J&J builds the PureWhite line in several cord lengths if you need more or less.
