The J&J Electronics PureWhite VU 25052 is a 12V, 20 watt white LED nicheless light for pools and spas, supplied with a 150 ft cord and made to fit 1.5 in. female threaded wall fittings.

What it does

PureWhite VU uses cool white LEDs that J&J says boost clarity and give pool water a clear, blue-water look. Wide angle LEDs widen the area the light covers, and the high output LEDs are chosen for color saturation and light intensity. A heat sink is built in to carry heat away from the LEDs, and the LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours.

Fit and mounting

This is a nicheless fixture. It mounts flush in a 1.5 in. female threaded wall fitting, so no niche and no bonding are required, and it can go on the floor or the wall of a pool or spa. It can light steps, swim-outs and water spillovers. The minimum water depth is 4 in. The part is also listed as LPL-R2W-12-150.

Before you order

This light runs on 12V, so it needs a 12V transformer and a cord length that suits the run from the junction box. The 150 ft cord is attached to the fixture. Check that your fitting is a 1.5 in. female threaded wall fitting before you order.
