The right weave for the debris
Power Vac offers the PV2100 bag in three weaves. This heavy duty bag is the coarse one, rated by Power Vac for sand, leaves, rocks and glass, which is the debris load that shreds a fine mesh bag on the first pass. A micron bag and a super fine mesh bag are listed separately for pools where the problem is fine silt and dust rather than bulk.
A consumable, not a repair part
On a portable vacuum the bag is the part that wears out. Emptying, dragging and abrasive debris all take their toll, and a bag with a split seam puts the machine out of service until it is replaced. Most operators keep at least one spare, and running two lets you swap while the other dries.
