API EZ Spa Total Care is a weekly water care program for spas and hot tubs, supplied as a 2 lb container under part number EZSTC2. One application a week takes the place of the several separate products a spa would otherwise need every other day.

What one dose covers

The blend carries a clarifier, a stable oxidizer, a scale and stain inhibitor, a water conditioner and balancers for pH, total alkalinity and calcium hardness. That is the full routine in a single product: the oxidizer handles the body oils and organic load that a small heated volume collects quickly, the clarifier helps the filter catch what is left suspended, the inhibitor works against scale and staining, and the balancers keep the chemistry in range.

How often do I add it?
Once a week. That is the point of the program: one weekly application instead of dosing several products every other day.
Do I still need a separate balancer?
The formula carries balancers for pH, total alkalinity and calcium hardness, so routine balancing is part of the same dose. Testing the water is still worth doing.
What is actually in it?

Is this for a pool or a spa?
