The CaliMar CMARCEC54-1Y is a replacement salt cell electrode for Ecomatic ESC systems. It is built to take the place of Ecomatic cell models ESC24, ESC36 and ESC48, listed by Ecomatic as model M0657USA, and the same electrode is used in the newer ESC7000, ESC8000 and ESC9000 systems.
Output and protection
Thirteen titanium blades generate chlorine for pools up to 54,000 gallons. A safety sensor shuts the unit down when salt flow is insufficient, and an auto delay holds production off at startup while the pump primes, so the electrode is not energized before water and salt are moving through it. Like the original Ecomatic electrodes, it cycles off half of the time when set to 50 percent output, which spreads the working life of the blades.
What is in the box
The electrode only. The cell housing and the cord are sold separately, and replacing all three together is the usual approach, since a tired cord or a cracked housing will undo the benefit of a new cell.
