This is the CaliMar CMARCCF60-3Y replacement salt cell, made for the CMARSHA60-3Y salt chlorine generator system. It is the 60,000 gallon size, the largest in the CaliMar range.
Why cells get replaced
A salt cell is a consumable. The plates inside it produce chlorine from the salt in the water and they wear out with use, so output falls away even though the control unit is still working perfectly. When chlorine will not hold and the salt level and settings both check out, the cell is usually the reason.
