The S.R. Smith 6-300 is the end cap for the Elite tread. It is the genuine factory part.

What it is for

Each Elite tread is capped at both ends. The cap closes off the open end of the tread so there is no sharp edge or open channel at the side of the step. They go missing over time, usually one at a time, and a ladder with bare tread ends looks worse than it works.

Ordering

This listing is for the cap alone, not the tread. Count two caps for every tread you are refinishing.
