Product details

This is the S.R. Smith Xpand-N-Lok rubber bumper, part number BRB-100EX, molded in marine blue and supplied in the male configuration. It is the bumper that caps the tube end on a pool ladder.

Sizing

The bumper is made for 1.90" OD tubing with a wall thickness between .049" and .065", which is the common ladder tube size on S.R. Smith deck equipment. Measure the outside diameter of your tube and check the wall before you order, since a bumper meant for a different wall will either rattle or refuse to seat.

Why the Xpand-N-Lok design

A plain push in bumper relies on friction alone and works its way out over a season of swimmers pulling on the rail. The Xpand-N-Lok body expands against the inside of the tube instead, so it stays where it was fitted. Replacing a missing or torn bumper also keeps a bare metal tube end away from the pool finish.
