The S.R. Smith WRB-100A is a molded white rubber bumper in the male style, 2 1/4 in in diameter, made for 1.90 in outside diameter tubing. S.R. Smith recommends it for ladder use.

What it does

On a pool ladder, the bumper is the piece that meets the wall. It keeps the steel tube off the pool finish and takes the small constant movement of people climbing in and out. When it wears through or falls off, the ladder starts to knock against the wall and the finish takes the damage instead.

Male or female

Bumpers come in two mounting styles and they are not interchangeable. This is the male version. Pull the old bumper and look at how it engaged the ladder before ordering, since the two styles look similar in a photo and only one will go on.

Check the tube size as well. This bumper is made for 1.90 in outside diameter tubing, the common size on pool ladders and rails.
