The J&J Electronics PureWhite 21064 is an LED pool light built for Sta-Rite SwimQuip light niches. This version is 120V, Cool White, with a 50 foot cord, model LPL-F1W-120-50-PSQ.

The wattage numbers

The F1W series draws 39 watts and puts out 2400 lumens, which is about what a 300 watt incandescent gave. That is where the 300W figure in the name comes from. Across the range, PureWhite delivers up to a 90 percent cut in energy cost against incandescent lighting and as much as 20 times the lamp life.

Build and light quality

The fixture is heavy gauge 316L stainless steel with an LED engine rated at 50,000 hours. J&J's Zero-Pixilation lens system spreads the output evenly so the light reads as a single smooth source rather than a grid of points. Cool White is 6500K, the daylight look, and a Warm White at 2700K is offered separately for a softer glow.

Before you order

Confirm the niche is a Sta-Rite SwimQuip and measure the run from the niche to the junction box so the 50 foot cord reaches. The fixture is tested and approved for swimming pool use by Intertek ETL and carries a 3 year limited warranty.

Is it really 300 watts?
No. The F1W series draws 39 watts and produces 2400 lumens, which is roughly the light a 300 watt incandescent gave. The 300W figure is the equivalence, not the draw.
What does Cool White look like in the pool?
Cool White is 6500K, a daylight tone. J&J also builds a Warm White at 2700K that matches the soft glow of an old incandescent, if you prefer that look.
How long is the cord?
50 feet. Measure from the niche back to the junction box before you choose a cord length, since the cord cannot be extended inside the niche.
