Quick overview
- Three pieces A waterproof sensor at the waterline, a controller mounted outside the pool near the equipment and fill line, and a valve actuator on the fill line.
- Wireless to 1,000 feet The sensor wakes periodically, measures the water level and reports it to the controller over a wireless link rated at 1,000 feet.
- 7 minute fill cycles When the level is low the controller opens the valve for 7 minutes, then closes it. That is the fail safe against over filling.
- Sensor built to last 7 years The waterproof sensor is battery operated and designed for a 7 year life.
- Hides in the skimmer The most popular sensor placement is the skimmer throat, where it is out of sight.
- Straightforward retrofit Designed to work with existing plumbing with minimal modification, and compatible with AMI smart meters.

Product details
The LevelSmart LSWA from H2Flow Controls is a wireless autofill for pools, spas, ponds, tanks and water features. It replaces the job of standing at the pool with a hose and watching the level.
How it works
Three pieces go in. A waterproof sensor is installed in the water at the waterline. A controller is mounted outside the pool near the equipment pad and the fill line. A valve actuator goes on the fill line itself. The sensor wakes on a schedule, measures the level and sends the reading to the controller over the wireless link. If the water is low, the controller opens the valve for 7 minutes and then closes it. That fixed cycle is the over fill protection: the system tops the pool up in stages instead of running open ended.
Installation and compatibility
The kit ships with the valve controller, the sensor, a 1 in. Hunter valve, an antenna tip, A/B putty adhesive and an accessory pack. It is designed as a retrofit onto plumbing you already have, so it does not usually call for major changes at the pad. The wireless range is rated at 1,000 feet, and the system is compatible with AMI smart meters. H2Flow Controls has been building motor and process control equipment since 1999, and the LevelSmart is made in the United States.
The sensor
The sensor is battery operated and designed to last 7 years. Most owners drop it into the skimmer throat, where it does its job without being visible from the deck. If you want app control from a phone, that is the separate LevelSmart Online model rather than this one.
