How an autofill works
A water leveler is a small canister plumbed to the pool and fed from a water supply. The pool level and the canister level are the same, so a float inside the canister tracks the pool. When evaporation drops the level, the float falls and opens the fill valve; when the pool comes back up, the float rises and shuts it off. The valve in this listing is that fill valve.
When to replace it
