Product details

The Pentair T29 is the Fluidmaster float valve assembly used in Pentair water leveler autofill units. It is the genuine Pentair part and it arrives as a complete assembly.

How an autofill works

A water leveler is a small canister plumbed to the pool and fed from a water supply. The pool level and the canister level are the same, so a float inside the canister tracks the pool. When evaporation drops the level, the float falls and opens the fill valve; when the pool comes back up, the float rises and shuts it off. The valve in this listing is that fill valve.

When to replace it

Two symptoms point here. A valve that will not seal keeps trickling water into the pool, which shows up as a rising level, diluted chemistry and a water bill nobody can explain. A valve that will not open leaves the pool falling until the skimmer starts sucking air. Either way the assembly is the part that gets changed.
