Product details

Pentair T26 is the genuine OEM 3/8 inch brass float valve used in pool automatic fillers, listed by Pentair at .375 inch. It is the part that decides when the makeup water stops.

How a filler works

An automatic filler is a small tank plumbed to a water line, with a float riding on the pool level. When the level drops, the float drops, the valve opens and water runs in. When the pool is back to level, the float lifts and the valve shuts. Everything in that cycle depends on the valve sealing properly when it is closed.

The symptoms of a worn valve

Two failures are common. The valve stops sealing and the pool creeps above level with the water bill climbing behind it, or the valve sticks shut and the pool drops through a hot week with the filler doing nothing. Either way the valve is the part to change before anyone starts chasing the plumbing.
