The Orenda SC-1000-QT is a 1 qt bottle of SC-1000 Scale and Metal Control, a non-phosphate scale control and metal chelant for pool and spa water.

What it does

SC-1000 is a patent pending, non-phosphorus aqueous formulation for control of carbonate scale and metal staining in recreational water systems. It is especially effective at controlling scale on salt water generator electrodes, and it does this without contributing orthophosphates to the water. Orthophosphates inhibit chlorine sanitation and act as nutrients for algae growth.

Where it fits

SC-1000 protects the surfaces of start-up pools while plaster is curing, and it gently removes stains and scale without acid. Applied as directed, it is compatible with the materials of pool and spa construction and with other treatment chemicals used according to their manufacturers recommendations.
