Product details

The Raypak H000025 is the water pressure switch for the Model 5100, 6100 and 5100ti. It is the genuine Raypak part.

What it does

The pressure switch is a safety interlock. It watches the water side of the unit and closes when there is pressure, which is the control system permission to run. Without that signal the unit stays off, which is exactly what you want when the pump is not moving water.

Diagnosing a no heat call

A unit that will not start and reports a flow problem is not always a bad switch. Start with the obvious water side causes: a loaded filter, a closed or partly closed valve, a clogged pump basket, air in the system. If the water is moving properly and the switch still never closes, the switch itself has failed.

Fitting

This is a small electrical component, straightforward for a service technician to change. Kill power to the unit before touching it and note the wiring before removing the old switch.

Which units use this switch?

What does a water pressure switch do?
It proves there is water pressure through the unit. Until it closes, the control will not let the unit fire, which stops it running dry.
My unit says no flow but the pump is running. Is this the part?
It can be. Check the filter, the valves and the flow first, because a healthy switch will also read low if the water is not actually moving. If flow is good and the switch never closes, the switch is the suspect.
