The S.R. Smith Splash Extended Reach kit 390-2000 is a 300 lb battery powered ADA compliant pool lift for facilities with a longer deck to water distance, sold in the California Package configuration.

The Extended Reach is the Splash version made for longer reaches, and its rating is 300 lb, below the 400 lb of the standard, Hi/Lo and Spa versions. The manufacturer describes the series as semi-portable: it is operated from a fixed deck anchor and can be lifted out for storage. A third party has tested and verified the Splash series as ADA compliant under section 1009.2 of the 2010 guidelines.

Fit

The Splash anchors to the deck, and the manufacturer lists the LiftLock anchor 300-6200L, set 12 to 18 in. from the pool edge. This listing does not say an anchor is included, so plan on buying the anchor separately and confirm it against your deck. A completed Deck Profile Sheet is required with the order.

Power and operation

A 24 V rechargeable battery drives the LiftOperator Intelligent Controller, with a waterproof hand control so the rider can operate the lift alone. The seat turns 344 degrees. A charged battery covers about 30 to 40 lifting cycles, and a full charge takes up to 12 hours. Every Splash comes with a seat belt assembly, battery and charger.

S.R. Smith states the warranty as 5 years on the frame (powder coat excluded), 2 years on the electronics and motor (battery excluded), and 1 year on the battery, prorated. For a California installation, the battery, charger and control box must be the CEC compliant BC versions, and they are not interchangeable with the standard parts.

The anchor is a separate purchase unless the part number includes it, and the Deck Profile Sheet confirms the lift reaches the water before it ships.

What makes 390-2000 different from the standard Splash kit?
