The S.R. Smith Guardian, part number UMLS-101, is a six foot permanent lifeguard chair built for commercial pools where the guard position does not move.

Built for scanning

Height and rotation are what make a guard chair work. Six feet of elevation opens up the sight lines across a large pool, and the seat swivels a full 360 degrees so a guard can follow activity from one end of the water to the other without breaking position. The Guardian also carries an extended observation platform for better observation and safety.

Permanent, not portable

This is an anchored unit rather than a wheeled stand. That is the trade: it stays where you put it, and in exchange it asks for very little deck.
