What a worn track looks like
Tracks are the only thing holding a robotic cleaner to the pool surface. As the tread wears smooth and the material stretches, the cleaner starts sliding instead of climbing, stalls partway up the wall, or wanders off its pattern and misses whole sections of the floor. The motor and the pump can be perfectly healthy while the cleaner performs badly, because the grip has gone.
