Product details

The Poolvergnuegen 896584000-365 is the turbine hub with vanes for The Pool Cleaner 2-Wheel and 4-Wheel suction side cleaners. It is the genuine part, supplied as the hub with its vanes.

What the turbine does

The Pool Cleaner has no motor of its own. Water pulled through the body spins the turbine, and the turbine drives the wheels. Everything the cleaner does, driving its pattern, climbing the walls, working its way around the pool, comes from that one rotating assembly.

Why it wears

Sand and grit go through the turbine along with the water. Over the seasons that abrades the vanes, chips their edges and wears the hub they sit on. The result is a cleaner that still moves but has lost pace, stalls on slopes, or no longer makes it up the wall.

Before you order

Check suction at the skimmer first. If flow to the cleaner is good and it is still sluggish, pull the turbine and look at the vanes. Worn or broken vanes are the point at which this hub earns its place.
