Product details

These are the Poolvergnuegen super super hump tires, part 896584000-679, supplied as a set of 2 in blue. They carry the deepest hump pattern in the range and are aimed at pools where the cleaner has to climb over big obstacles.

What the humps do

The raised humps around the tire give the cleaner something to bite on when it meets a step, a main drain lid, a light niche or a sharp transition from floor to wall. On a smooth tire the cleaner slides, spins and turns away, leaving whole sections of the pool untouched. The taller hump catches the edge and pulls the cleaner over it.

Replacing them

Tires wear down gradually, so the loss of coverage tends to creep up rather than fail outright. If the cleaner has started stalling in the same places, slipping on the wall, or leaving a stripe of dirt behind, look at the tread before suspecting anything else. Change them as a pair so the drive stays even.
