The Pentair 360490 is the large hump tire for the Rebel V2 suction side inground pool cleaner. It is the genuine Pentair replacement part.
Why the tread matters
A suction cleaner has no drive wheels in the usual sense, it walks the pool on the grip of its tires. The humped tread on the Rebel is what lets it hold the floor, take the coving and climb the wall. Once that tread flattens, the cleaner starts sliding, stalls in corners and stops covering the whole pool, even though nothing inside the unit has failed.
What you are buying
This is the large hump tire on its own. Tires wear at about the same rate across a cleaner, so it is worth checking the rest while one is off, and looking at the wheel hubs and bearings at the same time.
