Product details

The Pentair LX10 is the low pressure back up valve for the Letro Legend II pressure side pool cleaners, fitting the LX2000 and the LX5000G. It is the genuine Pentair replacement.

Why it matters

A pressure side cleaner has no brain. It drives forward until something stops it, and the back up valve is the only thing that gets it moving again. On a timed cycle the valve diverts flow, the cleaner reverses for a moment, and it leaves the corner or the step it had wedged into. When the valve stops cycling, the cleaner still runs but covers a fraction of the pool.

Before you order

This is the low pressure version, molded in plastic like the original. Check which valve your cleaner was built with, since a low pressure valve will not behave correctly on a high pressure setup.

Which cleaners does this valve fit?
The Letro Legend II LX2000 and the Legend II LX5000G.
What does a back up valve actually do?
It interrupts the flow to the cleaner on a timed cycle and sends it into reverse for a moment. That reversal is what backs the cleaner out of a corner or off a step instead of leaving it stalled there.
Is this the low pressure or the high pressure valve?
Low pressure. Confirm which version your cleaner uses before ordering, because the two are not interchangeable.
My cleaner keeps getting stuck in one corner. Is this the part?
It is the first thing to check. When a back up valve stops cycling, the cleaner loses its reverse and will sit against the same wall until someone moves it.
