The Pentair K12896 is the pleated rubber seal for Kreepy Krauly cleaners built from 2000 to current, in the version made for vinyl, fiberglass and tile pools.

Match the seal to the surface

Kreepy Krauly seals are cut differently depending on what the cleaner runs across. This one is the vinyl, fiberglass and tile version. Fitting the wrong seal changes how the cleaner sits and how it tracks, so the surface matters as much as the model year.

Check it against the old one

The seal measures 18-3/16 inches across the outside and 4-5/16 inches across the inside opening. It is 3/8 inch thick at the outer edge and just under 1/4 inch through the inner section. Those figures are the quickest way to confirm you have the right part before the cleaner comes apart.

Why it wears out

Rubber that spends its life submerged and dragged over a pool floor hardens, tears and loses its shape. A seal in that condition lets the cleaner skate instead of gripping, and replacing it usually restores normal travel.
