The Pentair 360249 is the feedline swivel kit for the Kreepy Krauly Racer pool cleaner. It is the genuine Pentair replacement.
What the swivel does
A pressure side cleaner is fed by a hose from the wall, and it spends its whole working life turning. The swivel is the joint that lets it turn without dragging the feed line around with it. When that joint seizes, every turn the cleaner makes twists the hose instead, and the wound up line pulls the cleaner off its pattern, keeps it in one corner, or stops it moving at all.
When to change it
Look at the hose after a cycle. If it comes out coiled and stiff, or the cleaner has spent the run near the wall it starts from, the swivel is the first thing to check. It is supplied as a kit, so the parts needed for the job come together.
