The Pentair K12415 is the silent flapper kit for the Kreepy Krauly Kruiser suction pool cleaner.

How the Kruiser works

A suction cleaner of this design has essentially one moving part. Water drawn through the body flips a flapper back and forth, and each flip pulls the cleaner a short distance forward. Everything else is a shell around that action, which is why a tired flapper takes the whole cleaner down with it.

When to fit one

Flappers stiffen, tear at the hinge and lose their shape after enough cycles. The signs are a cleaner that has become slow, one that has grown noticeably louder, or one that sits still while the suction line is clearly pulling. Fitting the fresh kit brings back the quiet, steady walk the cleaner had when it was new.
