The Pentair K12054 is the hose weight for Kreepy Krauly and Kreepy Kadet suction cleaners. It is the genuine Pentair part.
The redesign
The current version snaps into place. Older weights had to be threaded onto the hose, which meant breaking the hose apart to fit one. This one comes off and goes on where it sits, so replacing a lost or cracked weight is a job of seconds.
Why it matters
A suction cleaner only follows its pattern if the hose stays down. When a weight is missing, that length of hose rides up toward the surface, the cleaner gets pulled off course and whole sections of the pool go untouched.
