Product details

The Pentair ED05 is the feed hose swivel used on the Letro built Kreepy Krauly Legend family of pressure side cleaners. It is the genuine OEM part, in molded plastic.

Why a hose needs a swivel

A pressure cleaner spends its run turning, reversing and working its way around the pool, and every one of those turns puts a twist into the feed hose. The swivels let each hose section rotate on its own so that twist never accumulates. When one seizes, the hose coils up, goes taut, and starts hauling the cleaner back before it can finish its pattern. Owners usually read that as a cleaner that has lost power.

Fitment

The ED05 covers the Legend, Legend Platinum, the 3 wheel and 4 wheel Legend, the LL505G, the Jet-Vac JV105 and Pool Sweeps I and II. If more than one swivel on the hose feels stiff, replace them together, because a single free swivel in a stiff hose does not solve the twist.

What is the swivel for?

It joins sections of the feed hose and lets them rotate independently. As the cleaner turns and works the pool, the swivel absorbs the twist instead of letting it build up along the hose.

How do I know mine has failed?
