The H2Flow Controls FlowVis FV-25 is a valve body with a built in check valve for 2-1/2 in. schedule 40 PVC, and it reads flow directly on a scale marked in GPM. One fitting gives you the flow reading and the non-return function that the pad needed anyway.
Why it goes in almost anywhere
Most flow meters demand long runs of straight pipe upstream and downstream, which is exactly what an existing equipment pad does not have. FlowVis can be installed with little to zero straight pipe and still holds 98.1% accuracy or better across the range, and it can be mounted horizontally, vertically or even upside down. That is what makes it a retrofit rather than a replumb.
Reading and upgrading
The scale is clear and needs no calibration out of the box. Models run from 1-1/2 in. up to 8 in. plus metric sizes, and the FV-D digital upgrade can be added to any FlowVis body later if you want the number logged instead of read by eye. FlowVis is manufactured in the USA.
