The Hayward GLX-XFMR is the replacement transformer for Hayward salt chlorine generators. It is the genuine Hayward service part, ordered by part number.

When you need one

The transformer is what feeds power to the cell side of the system. When it fails, the unit can look alive at the display while producing no chlorine at all, and the pool starts drifting even though the salt level and the cell itself are fine. Replacing the transformer is a far smaller job than replacing the generator.
