The Waterway PCCF-150 is a ProClean Plus single cartridge pool filter carrying 150 square feet of filtration area with a 150 GPM flow rate. It is the larger end of the single element range.
One element, not four
A single cartridge filter holds one large element rather than a bank of smaller ones. Cleaning means opening the lid, lifting the cartridge out and rinsing it down, then dropping it back in. There is no backwash valve, no DE to recharge and no water sent to waste every time the pressure climbs.
Sizing it
The 150 GPM rating means the filter can keep up with a full size residential pump. As a general rule a filter should be sized ahead of the pump rather than behind it, so check your pump flow before you settle on this size.
A note on the name
Waterway spells this line ProClean, Pro-Clean and ProClean Plus in different places. It is the same filter. The part number, PCCF-150, is what to order by.
