Hayward StarClear Plus Cartridge Filter 120 sq ft, 2" SKT

The Hayward W3C12002 is the Star-Clear Plus cartridge filter with 120 sq ft of filter area and 2 in. socket connections. It is built for in-ground pools and in-ground pool and spa combinations, and it is the version to buy when your equipment pad is plumbed in 2 in. PVC that glues straight in.

Tank and head

The tank is glass reinforced co-polymer with the base and body molded as a single piece, which gives it the strength for the toughest applications, including in-floor cleaning systems, without corrosion. A single locking knob fastens the head to the tank, so there are no bolts or clamps to fight, and the head rotates so the pressure gauge and manual air relief can face wherever is convenient.

Inside

The extra large cartridge rides on a precision extruded core for strength and maximum flow. An elevated filtered water collector and debris sump keep heavy debris from bypassing to the pool while the cartridge is out for cleaning. The replacement cartridge is the PA120.

Before you order

This is the 2 in. socket version. Hayward also offers Star-Clear Plus filters with 1-1/2 in. and 2 in. FIP threaded connections, so match the port to your plumbing. The drain is 1/2 in. FIP and accepts a standard spigot valve.
