Product details

The Pentair Clean & Clear 100 sq ft cartridge filter, part EC-160316, pairs fine filtration with very little upkeep. The filter element traps particles down to about 20 microns, small enough that an average grain of beach sand, at roughly 1,000 microns, is fifty times larger.

Cleaning

There is no multiport valve and no backwash. When the pressure gauge climbs, open the top, lift the cartridge out, hose it off and drop it back in. The 100 sq ft of filter area holds a good amount of dirt, which stretches the time between cleanings.

In the box

The cartridge, a pressure gauge, a union kit and an air relief valve, so the filter is ready to plumb onto the pad.
